Prenatal Appointments:
At prenatal appointments we will discuss different aspects of your pregnancy and birth/labor. We will discuss different labor techniques like comfort techniques and mental affirmations. Discuss about how you can better prepare for labor and birth while pregnant. If another support person or persons is involved we will talk about how they can support the birthing person. Also, we will work with you to make a birth plan that will be simple but informative.
On-Call For Birth:
From 38 week till birth, we will be on-call 24/7. We will be ready to come and support you during labor and birth. Once called we will be ready to meet you within 2 hours or less. (Weather permitting)
Labor Support:
Continuous support during your labor. From the time you call me till baby is born we will support you during labor. Back up doulas may be needed if labor is over a certain time for a break.
Post Labor Support:
Once baby is born, we will be available for up to 2 hours for support. This can be initial latch support (if body feeding), physical support, emotional support, or errands.
Postpartum Visit:
One postpartum visit within 7-10 days after birth. Here we can discuss the birth, talk about newborn care, or any issues.
Phone/Text/VP/Email Support:
From the time you sign your contact we will be available to answer your questions, give you information to help you make informed decisions, and provide emotional support. Often during pregnancy you have something come up and need a person to listen or help. Nothing is too small or bothersome. We're here for you!
